New year, new start
Thanks for your support in 2022. New conversations — virtual and in-person — to come in 2023.
Issue #51
Hi all —
Thanks for reading this newsletter in 2022. And thanks to those of you who engaged with the more than 25 conversations on Twitter Spaces/Instagram Live about issues that impact Asian American communities. (Participants will be receiving a New Year gift box of goodies from South Asian American businesses. Check your mail in early Jan!)
This newsletter will be on hiatus in January, returning in February.
In 2022, there were two topics that particularly resonated with both RWB newsletter subscribers and non-subscribers alike, based on readership numbers and the volume of outreach/conversation:
“The flattening of the Brown Guy on TV” about how South Asian American men are being represented on-screen.
“Indian American matchmaking is broken” about how more Indian families need to have more open conversations about dating and relationships.
More to come on these topics — and much more — next year.
Wishing you a healthy, happy new year 2023.
Thanks for joining the conversation,
